Have you noticed that after enjoying certain drinks, your mouth could be tinted the same color as the beverage? Luckily, this is generally a temporary status, but did you know that some drinks can lead to permanent stains? This can be especially problematic since most people strive to maintain a white, beautiful smile. To enjoy these benefits, it’s important to know what drinks you should be careful with.

For instance, you know that some people need their morning cup of coffee, but did you know that coffee is one of the drinks that is most likely to cause stains. Sadly, drinking black coffee can make the staining worse. To avoid this problem, simply add a little milk to your drink. Like coffee, dark sodas can also cause tooth stains. Cold drinks can also cause problems because it will make your teeth porous and even easier to stain. Also, while wine can be healthy for you heart, it isn’t good for your teeth. Like coffee and soda, wine will stain your teeth.

Luckily, there are a few tricks you can follow to avoid these issues. For instance, drinking colored beverage through a straw can reduce staining. Similarly, if you rinse your mouth out with water after having a colored beverage, you can rinse the color and acid from your teeth.
